A success. This was a result of the second tour of the Macau unit of the Ivo10 Brazil Football Academy to China. On March 5th, for the first time in the history of the Academy, the first friendly in the neighboring country, in Hong Kong, took place. Now, on April 7, with a tournament against three Sub-12 teams and a friendly for the Sub-14, the second great moment of the project crossing borders, this time in the city of Shenzhen.
The executive director of Ivo10 Brazil in Macau, William Gomes, had two distinguished guests on the tour: the founder and president of the Academy, midfielder Ivo; and football businessman César Soler, from CSR Sports, co-founder of the project. The number 10 made his return to Chinese football – now at Yanbian Longding Football Club, from Yanbian, in the province of Jilin – and took advantage of a break between negotiations to visit Ivo10 and participate in this event.
The Tournament in China had the participation of U-12 teams of Green Brothers, Greenfield and TFC, all teams from Shenzhen. In addition to the competition, a friendly with the Under-14 team. Unlike the trip to Hong Kong, this time the Ivo10 Brazil delegation traveled one day in advance, staying in China.
The program commanded by William Gomes included training, balanced meals and lectures. He had the help of fellow coach Adzayi Felix and assistants. Former coach of Ivo10 Brazil in Macau, the Brazilian Fernando Tifé was present to visit his former colleagues. He is now working on a project in China. Some parents of Academy athletes also helped during the field trip.
To end the U-12 competition and the U-14 friendly with a good vibes, the Ivo10 Brazil delegation delivered some souvenirs in celebration of the tournament, taking the first step for many other events like this to take place throughout this year and in the future.
